Assignment 1

 ASSIGNMENT ONE

I decided to shoot the first assignment on my phone as it was most convenient for me, but I also enjoyed the freedom I had, as I know how to work the settings on my phone better than on my "professional" camera, in terms of taking photos. I know we were strongly encouraged to use natural sunlight in our photographs, but I also decided to play around with the moonlight in front of my house as well. It was quite the experience trying to catch shadows with limited lighting but for my first time trying to capture something nice, I'm pretty happy with the results.

  1. The phone's low light capability is amazing due to it's ability to take multiple photos at once and stack them together. I just created a video for you to show you how to use feathered selections to adjust for light and contrast using the Levels tool in Photoshop. It is rendering now....

  2. The darkness and camera shake of the hand missing the finger is genuinely creepy... so I wouldn't make it brighter... the shakey blur adds to the mystery.
