Paul Piorkowski - Daily Post 9, Final Post

Hello! For the final post, I decided to go to an old cemetery near my house. The readable headstones seem to indicate that the people buried beneath them are older than the country itself, with one, William Anderson, having been born in 1716. I figured I'd end this course off on one of the most historic and interesting notes I could.

Paul Piorkowski - Daily Post 8

Hello! Today I wanted to focus on something I captured quickly in a previous assignment: my origami. I took new photos, but I made a couple pieces of origami in my junior year of high school that I still have, and I feel the patterns and designs of the paper make for good artistic shots.

For the "window light portrait" assignment, I shot a mix of some children (my cousin & a child I nanny for) and my animals. I used the lasso, feather, and levels tool(s) in Photoshop to darken some shadows on each image which I think helped the highlights pop. Please let me know what you guys think!

For the "Just Shoot" assignment, I chose to focus on the animals in my life. The dog is my dog Duke, the black cat is my cat Jinx, and the kitten is my best friend Nathaly's cat, Bambi. I hope you guys like them!

Paul Piorkowski - Daily Post 7

Hello! Today, I decided to take pics of my small artificial Christmas tree since I haven't gotten around to putting it away yet. I decided to take macro shots, and incorporate some ornaments into those shots. (Last 2 photos are edits)

Sorry there are so many, but I couldn't decide which were my favorites. Zero editing. Straight off my iphone 15.

PSA: If you have a chance to get outside while there is still sunlight, I would highly encourage you to get out there. I got some INCREDIBLE shots this afternoon while just walking around my backyard. I'll post some later. I took so many that I can't decide which I like best!

Daily post

Here are some of the Macro shots I was able to get with my phone camera. I have been super sick so it was convenient finding things around the house that had very much detail.

Paul Piorkowski - Daily Post 6

Hello! Keeping in theme with my last daily post about my miniature model katana, I decided to show my full-scale replica katana for today's post. While I was figuring out some angles to take photos at, I touched the tip of the blade to the wall and found that it made an interesting shadow effect from the way light from different sources was hitting it, so I replicated the effect with the sheath as well.
