Window Light Portrait
For the "window light portrait" assignment, I shot a mix of some children (my cousin & a child I nanny for) and my animals. I used the lasso, feather, and levels tool(s) in Photoshop to darken some shadows on each image which I think helped the highlights pop. Please let me know what you guys think!
I'm thinking good thoughts. Usually we don't want direct sunlight in this type of shot... for people it makes them squint and tends to blow out the skin (like the bottom one). In these shots though, the patch of sunlight adds a nice geometry element and with the girl at the pool's edge and the kitty's it works pretty well. Nice.
